City of Munroe Falls joins Power A Clean Future Ohio, Becoming 35th Community

(COLUMBUS, OH)— At a recent Munroe Falls City Council meeting, the councilmembers unanimously adopted an emergency resolution to join Power a Clean Future Ohio, underscoring the community’s commitment to achieving energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions and cost savings through building and facilities management, land use and transportation planning and economic and community development. PCFO will work with local leaders to provide technical assistance and partnerships to help staff as they develop a roadmap for Munroe Falls. With passage of this resolution, Munroe Falls became the 35th community to join Power a Clean Future Ohio.

Power a Clean Future Ohio is a nonpartisan coalition and campaign that is dedicated to working with local communities to develop equitable clean energy solutions to benefit the well-being of residents, the environment, and the economy.

Joe Flarida, Executive Director of Power a Clean Future Ohio said, “As part of Power a Clean Future Ohio, the leaders and community members in the City of Munroe Falls have more tools and resources to establish carbon reduction goals and implement plans that are achievable, measurable, equitable, and economical. Munroe Falls Mayor Allen Mavrides said, “In addition to revitalizing the Citicenter and Guise Park area, our community now has an even broader opportunity to leverage the resources available as a member of Power a Clean Future Ohio that will benefit all residents. We can work together to address energy and climate issues with clean energy solutions that encourage economic development and benefit the environment.”
