City of Maumee Joins PCFO as 53rd Member Community

Following the passage of a resolution before City Council, the City of Maumee has officially joined Power a Clean Future Ohio (PCFO) as the nonprofit organization's 53rd member community. Membership with PCFO entitles the City to free technical assistance services, resources, and support developing and implementing emissions reduction strategies.

Through this partnership, the City of Maumee aims to enhance the energy efficiency of its municipal operations, reduce costs, and identify opportunities to minimize its environmental footprint. The collaboration will enable Maumee to utilize data-driven tools and best practices tailored to the community’s needs, positioning the City to strengthen its long-term resilience and enhance the quality of life for residents.

Maumee city leaders believe this collaboration reflects a commitment to a more sustainable future. In joining forces, Maumee can take concrete steps toward protecting Maumee’s natural resources and build a healthier, more resilient community for generations to come, said Maumee City Councilmember Margo Puffenberger.

“Joining Power a Clean Future Ohio is a meaningful step forward in our shared responsibility to protect the environment,” she said. “By providing much-needed data and assistance, PCFO will be a valuable ally in supporting and advancing our city’s efforts to create a more sustainable community.”
