Why Local?

Power A Clean Future Ohio works with local leaders to develop and implement proven climate solutions that will reduce carbon emissions throughout Ohio in big and small ways that make sense for each local community. Ohio’s economy, health and future depend on a new approach to clean energy and climate change. Now is the time for local communities to move Ohio forward.

Ohio has the opportunity to attract billions in investment and thousands of jobs by embracing the future. Not to mention the improved health from better air quality, particularly in disproportionately impacted communities.

Whether you want to take small steps or have a big vision, working together to determine what works for your community is critical. Any step in the right direction will help move your community forward.

By working locally, we can create new career opportunities for local residents in the renewable energy, energy efficiency, and electric vehicle industries. We can implement equitable energy policies to support frontline communities. We can reduce energy waste in our homes and workplaces while also preserving quality greenspace for residents. All of this makes our communities cleaner, healthier, more vibrant, and sustainable for everyone.
